Listen, I know the thought of a boudoir shoot can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked ALLL kinds of questions. So, I compiled a list of what I get asked the most frequently! This should give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
My number one priority is making sure my clients are feel comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can absolutely be life changing for you, but that also makes it a little nerve wracking too. Sometimes you’re still in the beginning of your self-love journey, and aren’t ready to share your photos with the world, and that’s okay! Sometimes these photos are specifically for one persons’ eyes only. These are great reasons for not sharing your images. It all depends on your personal preference. I always ask permission before sharing any images on social media. I got you!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You don’t HAVE to wear lingerie. It all depends on your personality. I have had great shoots with lacy robes, white tees and just the white sheet, etc etc. There are tons of options for you!
Do you have payment plans?
I offer multiple payment options. There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and then you have the option to split up your payments for your order. I also have clients that like to book their shoot further out, that way they have their shoot paid off before the big day comes around.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is offered for all boudoir shoots! I think it’s one of the most important elements of the day. Feeling pampered, and taking the time for yourself to feel and look amazing! I partner with Seventh Avenue Beauty, and have several other artists on standby. They’re amazing team has you covered, and will help you complete your look, whether that’s a ” I just woke up like this” or Full Glam! You can bring any ideas you want for their hair and makeup team, and we can use it for Inspo!
Do you Photoshop my images?
I do very light retouching in Photoshop if needed. My goal is to bring out your natural beauty in camera. During the consultation we will chat about you favorite and least favorite features and any concerns you may have and will create a session based around that!
Where should I buy outfits?
There are plenty of places to shop for outfits, just depending on what you are looking for! Here are some of my favorite websites… Yandy, Shein, Torrid, Victorias Secret, Hips and Curves, Honey Birdette. Looking for something specific? Let me know and I might know where we can find it!
What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of hand bound luxury albums, mounted prints, acrylic prints, canvas and metal wall art! the 10×10 luxe album is my favorite, and also a client favorite! It’s the perfect size, and what better way to commemorate your shoot, or give a gift in the form of an album?
Do you offer digitals?
All of the luxury album collections include the digitals with them! You can also go a la carte, and purchase digitals on their own, though that’s not what most clients end up doing when they see our gorgeous albums! Regardless, there is something for everyone here at Beyond the Mask. We will go over all of your options at your order appointment!
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
99% of my clients are SO nervous when they come in. It’s all part of the process, I know it seems scary, but I promise it isn’t! As soon as you sit down in hair and makeup, you’ll immediately begin to relax. I PROMISE you will have zero regrets, and we will have so much fun during your shoot! Just wait until you see your final images at your reveal!
How many outfits should I Bring?
I tell all my clients to bring 5-7, and we will shoot 3-4 So you will need at least 4 solid outfits you feel great and confident in!
Should I arrive early?
Always plan on arriving on time, or 10 minutes early if you can! That way we have some time to talk about hair and makeup, and your outfits.
Where are you located?
I am located in Phoenix Arizona. You have many options for session locations which we will discuss during your consultation.
