It’s time to get REAL!
This year I took a break from my business to focus on myself. It was a very long and hard year filled with so much growth. There was a major change in my life. I am not one to blast things like this out over social media, so it was not something I announced. I like to keep certain things private, because there are other people involved who do not need to be put on the spot.

With everything that has happened, I decided to start working on myself. Finding my true me. Finding things I like personally. I’ve always identified as a wife and mother. That was who I was. But it isn’t the whole story. I spent the better half of this year making new friends, learning to meditate, trying my hand at yoga, spending time hiking and at the gym, and have done a little bit of traveling.
I have met some people and been through growing periods with them. I have learned a lot about myself. I have learned patience. I have learned to sit back and let life happen rather than trying to plan everything out.

I would also like to proudly say that I have finally found my lost independence! I do not need another human being to take care of me. I can do it myself! My mom used to tell me that I said that all the time when I was little! It took a long time to get that back.
We do not have holes in our souls that need to be filled by another person. If you feel like you have that hole, something else is missing in your life. Only YOU can find that missing part and fill that hole. That person we are all looking for is someone who should be our best friend. Someone who will ride this life in the passenger seat with us. That person should compliment us. Not be the reason for living, not be what COMPLETES us. I complete me! You complete you!

I am extremely grateful to everyone I have met in the past several years, but mostly in the past year and a half. There have been some incredibly amazing people that have showed up in my life and have helped me to grow and find myself. They have been there for me when I needed them. Some have been very tough when I needed it and others have been sweet and understanding. I am thankful to each and every one of them.
As for my business I have just been enjoying being creative for the past couple years. I have met some fantastic women who have modeled for me. I have been published twice! I have recently been invited to interview for a local magazine! Stay tuned for that!!!

In the near future you will be seeing much more of me. I have some incredible plans for the future of Beyond the Mask. In the coming months I will share some of my travels with you from this past year as well as my published works!

I have met so many women in business lately and absolutely love hearing their stories. You will begin to start reading their stories here as well. If you are a business owner and would like to be featured on the Blog, please comment below and we can get you on the schedule for 2020!
